ANC and Sadtu to take provincial education department to ConCourt over school closures

The provincial African National Congress together with the South African Democractic Teachers Union have vowed to take the Western Cape Education department to the Constitutional Court following MEC Donald Grant's decision to close 20 struggling schools. Grant announced yesterday that these schools will be closed because of ailing number od students, lack of infrastructure and poor academic performance.
