Born Free (Contemporary Dance)
The Born Frees is a contemporary dance show celebrating a bold new generation, Generation Z. in Studio we had Wentzel April, a teacher from one of the focus schools whose learners will be participating in the play.
Artscape is set to present the much awaited contemporary dance showcase, Born Frees, featuring Western Cape Focus schools and other schools within the Cape Peninsula, Artscape, New World Dance Theatre (NWDT), Cape Flats Development Association (CAFDA) and UCT Youth Training Programme in collaboration with the Western Cape Education Department, at Artscape Theatre on 25 July 2014 at 20:00. It is sponsored by the National Arts Council.
This performance will feature 120 Dance (subject) learners from various schools across the city, many of whom have auditioned to join the contemporary Dance Bridging Programme of the New World Dance Theatre, training at the UCT School of Dance every Saturday.
