Dsgn Tete a Tete looks at DAC Indaba

The Department of Arts and Culture recently held an indaba in Johannesburg last month with the intention of electing a visual Arts Task team to implement the recommendations of a 2008 Human Sciences Research Council Report into the Arts Industry and consult with the Minister of DAC. The indaba was met with met with mixed reactions from the art industry with sccuations of inadequate communication the questionable applicability of what it might be seen as an outdated report and the uncertain intentions of the department.
