Testing pesticides on human volunteers; ethically justifiable or just human guinea pigs?

Leslie London is one of the contributors in a paper which looks at the controversy about the scientific value and ethical acceptibility of studies involving experimental exposure of human volunteers to low doses of pesticides. London telephonically explained when and how pesticides are used on human subjects, what motivates people to volunteer and the risks attached with doing this. London's paper on the subject poses the question of whether it is ever ethically justifiable to use humans subjects or are they just human guinea pigs.
