Indlovu People
Today on Backchat we were joined on the line by actor Vincent Meyburgh from the Jungle Theatre. The theatre will be putting on a play called Indlovu People, which was commissioned by the International Fund for Animal Welfare about the African elephant as part of its Elephants Secure Habitats program. Jazzart’s annual Dancescape showcase
We were also joined by Jackie Manyaapelo, who was recently appointed the new artistic director for Jazzart’s Dance Theatre. Jazzart will be holding their annual dance showcase on Thursday May 28th. This year promises a cast of young talent from Namjive, La Rosa Spanish Dance Theatre, Vadhini Indian Arts Academy, CAFDA Youth Dance Company, Jikeleza, Cape Academy of Performing Arts, and Wilvan School of Dance. Tickets are R50 each, or R20 for block bookings of more than 20 people.
