Hope Again Recovery Home
We opened the show with Alfonso Shilder, Leroy Stynder, Savatori Southgate, Donovan Manuel, Hiram Adams from Hope Again Recovery Home.
‘Hope Again Recovery Home is a place where men come face to face with themselves and where life skills are taught in preparing them for situations that they’ll find themselves in. Their ultimate goal is for them not to resort to drugs, gang related activities, alcoholism etc’

Africa, my Africa-Helderberg Society
We were then joined by Lyndsay Small Director and Chairman of the Helderberg Society. He spoke about the variety show that is currently on show at the Playhouse in Somerset West.
‘This is a variety show portraying the history of the Helderberg and South Africa over the ages, using dialogue, music and dance to take the audience through the ages in SA’
.Africa, my Africa is a showcase of local talent and is not to be missed.
The show runs from 29 November 2007- 14 December 2007. Tickets cost between R25 and R45. It runs at 2.30, 6.30 and 8pm.

Spier Contemporary 2007 exhibition
We ended of the show with Jay Pather who is the co-curator of the Spier Contemporary 2007 exhibition.
They held a competition recently where any artists could enter, but their works had to be contemporary. From over 2000 entries they selected 100 art works that will be part of an exhibition.
The Contemporary visual arts exhibition opens at the Spier Estate in Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
The exhibition runs from 13 December 2007 to 20 February 2008. All visitors are welcome. And entrance is FREE!
