Founded in 2008 by community leader John Philmon, YSA began as a modest soup kitchen. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital service provider, now offering 104 beds for homeless youth and adults. The organization serves nearly 1,000 meals daily and provides essential services like skills training and psychosocial support .

Winter Program: A Lifeline During Cold Months

YSA runs an annual winter program from June to September, providing additional support to vulnerable homeless individuals during the colder months. This initiative includes extra bedding, warm meals, and outreach services to those living on the streets .

A key aspect of YSA's mission is to reintegrate individuals into society. Through programs focused on skills development, psychosocial support, and family reunification, YSA helps individuals transition from homelessness to independent living .
