National Press Club comes under fire

The National Press Club’s decision to name the Newsmaker of the Year title to the “South African Rhino” has garnered much criticism from the press and social networks. Over the weekend the NPC made its announcement which came as a surprise to many considering 2012 was the year which had the Marikana Masscare, Outa dominating the headlines. On the lines we had NPC’s general manager Ben Rootman and former editor of the Cape Times Ryland Fisher from Ryland Fisher Communications to tackle the issue.
