Development Action Group (DAG)

We opened the show with Anthea Houston of the Development Action Group (DAG).

DAG is a non-profit organisation working throughout South Africa to fight poverty and promote integrated urban environments.

The Big Issue

We were later joined by Jamaine Cloete and Marcus Prince from the Big Issue. The magazine is sold by unemployed and homeless people. Jamaine is the marketing manager for Big Issue, and Marcus has been selling the magazine since 1997.

All NY’S

We were then joined in the studio by Koriander and Fufu of ALL N.Y’s.

The ALL N.Y’s is a group of people providing a platform for young and upcoming artists in the communities of Cape Town.


Anyone who is looking for a place to showcase their dance, sing, rap, poetry, art or skills and more; can join ALL N.Y’s every Sunday at the Gugulethu Sports complex at around 14h00.



School’s Environmental Education and Development (SEED)

We ended the show with Talfryn Harris of SEED.

SEED is based in Cape Town and their focus is primary schools on the Cape Flats.


The children (of all grades within the primary school) are taught how to use Permaculture gardening. They also teach them about the environment.
