African Salad
Today on the show we had the distributor of a book called African Salad, Genavieve Alkana.
'African Salad is a cross-genre coffee table book showcasing the homes, stories and favourite recipes of 60 real South African families.'
The book has received good reviews from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the editor of Marie Claire magazine as well as the Mail and Guardian newspaper.

WD Hendreks Primary School
We also had the principal of WD Hendreks Primary school Graham Swarts in studio, and he spoke about the challenges he faces as a principal.
The primary school is situated in Facreton.
Some of the challenges that he highlighted was the fact that some of his students were poverty strikened. Their school fees are R90 a year.
