Drocnoc Music

We ended the show today with Concord Nkabinde. His interest in music started at the tender age of 10. He was born and raised in Soweto, Johannesburg.

‘Having dived straight into the deep end, Concord became convinced that he needed to acquire more knowledge and experience. He got involved with many gospel music bands in Soweto and later ventured into the broader scope of the secular music industry. This led to him pursuing a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies at the University of Natal, Durban.

From there, he went on to teach music full-time in Soweto & Johannesburg, before deciding to pursue a career as a studio and touring musician.’
