Learn to Earn programme

We opened the show with Avril Arrison from the Learn to Earn programme.

Their aim is to get the unemployed, self-employed. They offer an information and awareness programme on how to start your own business.

They offer workshops in Business Processes, Resources needed to start a business, Market Research, Marketing, Importance of Recordkeeping; as well as Costing and Pricing.

PATCH- Heldeberg Child Abuse Centre


We were then joined by Ada Buys of the PATCH- Heldeberg Child Abuse Centre.

They offer free professional service to thousands of child victims of abuse, more specifically sexual abuse.

They operate from eight offices throughout the Heldeberg region, and would like to expand.

One of their other services focuses on court preparation and court support for the child victims.

Camp Hill Village

We ended the show with Brian Joffin, manager of Camp Hill Village.

Camp Hill Village is a rural working community of 160 men, women and children, about 90 adults with intellectual disabilities and special needs. Many of them being elderly people.

“A warm healthy home life is integral to the well being of our community and all co-workers share responsibility in the home,” says Joffin.
