Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
In today’s show we spoke to the Executive Deputy Mayor of the City of Cape Town, Councilor Grant Haskin. We spoke about the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) which is currently held by the City of Cape Town in partnership with SMART. The goal of the symposium is to start an accrediting body for specialised drug and alcohol treatment services in Cape Town. CARF is an international accrediting body working comprehensively in U.S., Canada, Europe and South America with rehabilitation and human services. We then spoke to Vusumzi Tshose spokesperson of the MEC for Housing and Local Government in the Western Cape Qubudile Dyantyi. The subject was the outcomes of the meeting that was held by MEC Dyantyi and beneficiaries who will be relocated at Bardale Farm in Mfuleni.
