Chris Hani's 15th anniversary
Today we spoke to Khaya Magaxa Provincial Secretary of the South African Communist Party in the Western Cape. The 10th of April marks the 15th anniversary of Chris Hani's assassination. Hani was shot dead in his Dawn Park driveway in Boksburg in front of his 15 –year – old daughter on April 10, 1993. At the time of his death, Hani was the general-secretary of the SA Communist Party (SACP) and an ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) member. He was active in the Eastern and Western Cape ANC before leaving the country in 1962.
