DJ Sabza Shares the Story Behind His Latest Single, Ingenie Leila

Rising producer and DJ Sabelo “DJ Sabza” Mana Khanyile from Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal, is making his mark in the Afro House and 3-Step scene.

Speaking on Bush radio 89.5 fm, DJ Sabza shared his musical journey, which began at a young age when he would create beats by drumming on school desks. His passion for music eventually grew alongside his studies in Civil Engineering.

His latest single, Ingenie Leila, carries a spiritual message about praying to God for intervention during difficult times. The track features Pianola SA, Lava Boy Music, and Gospel Powerhouse, bringing together strong coastal influences and soulful songwriting. 

DJ Sabza describes his sound as a blend of Afro House, 3-Step and Isgubhu, with 3-Step standing out through its distinctive rhythmic pattern and energetic dance feel.With his upcoming EP in the works, DJ Sabza aims to showcase a fresh blend of sounds while continuing to grow his presence in the South African music scene.
