Grassroot Soccer-James Donald

Today on Backchat we were joined in studio by James Donald from Grassroot Soccer. Grassroot Soccer is an NGO that uses the power of soccer to fight against HIV/AIDS. They have recently been officially appointed by FIFA to manage the Football for Hope Centre in Khayelitsha that was open on Monday. The centre is part of FIFA’s project “20 Centres for 2010” which is their community outreach programme and a way of ensuring that the benefits of the tournament are felt everyone, particularly those from disadvantaged areas.
