Today on Backchat we were joined on the line by Tantra Zawadi. Tantra is an American word artist. Her poetry has established her as a force in the genre. Her work has been extensively published and televised. Her spoken word video “Scarlet Waters” featuring Michael Cox on bass, was featured on the website for Product (RED) created by U2’s Bono and Bobby Shriver, to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in Africa. Tantra will be performing at the Badilisha Poetry X-Change, This year it is taking place in central Cape Town on the 22nd, 23rd and 25th of May 2009. Paraffin Safety Association Southern Africa (PASASA)- Phumzile Nteyi
We were also joined on line by Phumzile Nteyi, the communications coordinator from the Paraffin Safety Association Southern Africa (PASASA). They will be unveiling the Winter campaign for 2009 on Friday May 22 in Philippi. Every year, PASASA embarks on a national paraffin safety awareness raising campaign throughout the winter season.
