Anger and Stress Management Centre of South Africa

Today we opened the show with Shelton Kartun, Director of the Anger and Stress Management Centre of South Africa. Even though there are different types of anger and stressful situations, we focused on road rage, especially as the festive season is upon us and many will be traveling on our roads.

The centre is the only centre of its kind in the country specialising in supporting individuals to manage anger, conflict, emotions, behaviour and stress more effectively.

Shelton offers some tips for road users:

· Don’t retaliate
· Don’t make eye contact
· Don’t take the law into your own hands
· Drive safely at all times and don’t take your eyes off the road
· Don’t make gestures and engage the other driver
· Learn to let it go and take a deep breath and drive on
· Pull over and calm down if badly enraged
