Keanu Harker
From the streets Cape
Town to your mother’s television, Keanu Harker continues to shock the world
with his captivating voice.
Joined with The Back Chat show on Bush Radio 89.5 FM, local talent Keanu Harker shares his upbringing and his music journey thus far. Growing up in Cape Town, he always wanted to pursue music as a career, though his family wanted him to get a “real” job, whether that be a doctor or a lawyer. Given the circumstances of Keanu’s upbringing, he never allowed the negative feedback stop him from pursing music as a dream.
Along his journey, in 2019 he signed up to be a contestant on the third season of South Africa's top talent television shows The Voice. Being one of the contestants this is where he grabbed the attention of the audience, viewers and judges, Keanu ended up as a finalist on the show, but unfortunately he did not come home with the prize, he did however return home with a huge fan base watching and anticipating when he will be releasing new music. The attention is what he needed to kick start his career as an artist.
On Saturday 13 August 2022, Harker performed his new song “No More” at The Wave Theatre, as well as crowd favourite covers and more songs from his album entitled “I Believe in Me”. Giving an undoubtedly stunning performance, Keanu continued to do what he does best; capturing the attention and hearts of the audience.
Keanu’s journey is
only beginning, still having a lot to learn about the music industry, Keanu
continues to be passionate and enthusiastic about his musical journey. There is
no doubt that we will be hearing more from Keanu, soon to be a household name
and continuing to bring you euphoric and sensational sounds through his music.
