WC farmworkers strike called off- for now!!

The Western Cape farmworkers strike has been called for the time being, that’s according to the Congress of South African Trade Unions. Farmworkers went on strike last year, demanding that the minimum daily wage to be increased from R69 to R150. The strike was suspended in December, but resumed a few weeks ago in various towns in the province. On the line we had Mercia Andrews from the Mayibuye Land Rights movement to find out what is the way forward.
