Craft Market initiative

The City of Cape Town, Economic Development Department, has implemented a Craft Market at the Plumstead Municipal building 2 years ago. This project was aligned to the Mayor’s Poverty alleviation program which was launched at the Cape Town Civic Centre. The program had to be decentralised into the various districts throughout the City of Cape Town. The Craft Market has proven to be successful due to the training, skills development and capacity building focus for the Traders.
