Nigerian-born singer, songwriter and rapper Dr. Ray, now based in Cape Town, is making his mark on the African music scene with music that blends entertainment, personal experience and meaningful social messages.

Speaking on Bush Radio 89.5 FM, Dr. Ray shared his journey, creative vision and passion for using music to inspire people and highlight the experiences of Africans.

His music span's different themes and sounds. His single “Fireworks” brings an energetic, celebratory vibe, while “Watermelon” is a heartfelt appreciation of women. Another important release, “Immigration,” reflects on the challenges many Africans face when seeking better opportunities abroad and calls for a stronger, more developed Africa.
