Prince Benza features Dr Malinga on new collabo

By Thomas Cedrick

Prince Benza was born Benny Raolane in Wisani village in Limpopo province. He started

singing at a young age in 2008 while in primary school. King Monada influenced his

development as a singer, songwriter and producer.

Confident to venture out on his own, Prince Benza started making his own music in 2010.

And so began a journey that would bring his unique style to the fore. He wanted to be

different without losing the essence of the Bolobedu house sound as it represented where he

came from.

His first single A Hi Famba took fans by storm and won Monada over who groomed and

gave him direction. They collaborated on Dinyaka which opened more doors for Prince

Benza when he signed with Open Mic Productions, one of the biggest music companies in

South Africa. He released Chiwana, a song about someone who lost both his parents at a

young age and faces challenges with no help, but keeps on going with faith hoping that one

day all will be well and God will answer his prayers.

Music awards started noticing this young talent when he was a nominated in the Sepedi

Music Awards. The industry opened up its arms and Prince Benza made music with top

drawer artists such as Master KG, Makhadzi, Master Chuza, Team Mosha and Candy

Tsamandebele.

In 2022 Prince dropped  Dilo Ditchenchile which translates to things change ft the  legendary Dr Malinga
