The Masque: “Breath of Life”
Today on Backchat we were joined on the line by Celia Musikanth from the Masque Theatre. The Masque Theatre is home to a number of amateur dramatic societies in Cape Town and is easily accessible from most parts of the city and tomorrow the theatre will celebrate 50 years with a gala performance of Sir David Hare’s The Breath of Life. Breathe of Life was written for Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith in the year 2002 and received rave reviews when it showed at the West End. Claremont Dramatic Society is known for the excellent calibre of its productions; ‘The Breath of Life’ is a well-chosen vehicle for another success.
