Heart and Strokes foundation on cardiovascular disease


The recent tragic deaths of two young athletes have raised questions around heart disease widely associated with poor lifestyle. Last month two athletes, aged 29 and 37, died of heart failure in the first leg of the Ironman triathlon in East London. The sudden death of competitive athletes does occur, and almost certainly makes headlines, the number of deaths resulting from Sudden Cardic Death are relatively low.
