Violent protests in the province on the rise

The Western Province has been plagued with more violent service delivery protests than in any other provinces. For the first time in five years the province has had more protests than Gauteng. This after the Multi-level Government Initiative's Service Delivery Protest Barometer released its findings on the increment of these violent protests. Annette May from UWC's Community Law Centre who published these findings spoke to us about some of the contributing factors which led to this.
